During his birthday meet with media, when SRK was asked about the clash between Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani, the superstar had said, "Deepika is my lucky charm, she will work for me on the 18th. It is not good that we are coming together. But now that we are coming on the same day, we hope both the movies have a long run. I have full love, respect and wishes for the Bajirao Mastani team.” That was a gracious statement coming from King Khan, who indirectly rubbished the rumours of conflict between DP and him, due to their movies clash.
Taking the cue from SRK's statement, Deepika today on the poster launch of #Mastani had a loving answer in return for SRK, who happens to be his first co-star and a dear friend. Deepika shared, "That was very generous of Shah Rukh as always (on his former statement).He has credited me always for the success of Chennai Express and Om Shanti Om. But if Dilwale works, it is because of the hard work SRK and the team has put in! That will also be a massive hit."
Looks like the hatchet, if it was ever, is now finally buried. However, all said and done, it will be quite interesting to see how this battle of box-office shapes up on Dec 18!
